If you really want to quit masturbation, my story should inspire you to take the first bold step. Masturbation almost made me insane and got me to drop out of Engineering school.
Masturbation addiction has some really serious health implications yet, health experts keep praising the act. From Ubersuggest, at least 3000 people every month search on Google: ‘how to quit masterbation.’ People are desperately looking up medicines that’ll help them recover from the side effects of masturbation, — and Google is already making money out of this.
But How Do I Know Masturbation Caused My Problems?
Well, it’s one thing that leads to the other. Just as you get drunk after taking shots of alcohol, just as a car’s brake pads wear depending on how often they are applied, likewise excessive masturbation leads to some really bad health issues. One will argue: “but why do it in excess?”
I masturbated for 17 years. At age 12, I came across a porn magazine among my sister’s books. I kept it and used it. That was the beginning of my journey with masturbation.
While pornography initiated me into this, loneliness and being alone also got me doing it more. At some point in my life as a kid, my mom prevented me from making friends because she feared it’ll impact my academic performance, plus, she’s had some really bad times in her friendships some of which I witnessed. And, Oh yes I was a very brilliant student. Until now, I have a very bad social life and I’ve spent most of my 20’s in my room alone … and masturbating.
At age 16, I started experiencing the negative effects of masturbation. What happened was that after masturbating, I felt some weird muscle tension in my feet. My social life wasn’t as bad then, and I had no access to pornographic materials so I could easily control myself.
At 19, I was in my final year in High School and that was when the frequency at which I masturbated has increased. The more I tried to quit, the more I masturbated. My academic performance had dropped and I hate myself.
Thankfully, I got admission to the university to study Computer Engineering. I broke up with my girlfriend so I could focus on my studies because she was too demanding of attention. So Abigail was gone … but there was ‘Masturbation.’
In university, it was damn bad. I masturbated 3–5 times per day. My masturbation addiction has increased. There was cheap internet and I had about 20GB of porn clips. I was a very serious and disciplined person but this was my biggest weakness. My rebellion against masturbation increased but I could do very little to help myself. I could delete a whole 20GB of porn but in no time, I’ll redownload another 10GB, 20GB, …
In level 200, I started feeling sick. I was experiencing numbness, severe anxiety, depression, ADHD, headache, backache, severe fatigue, underweight, sick slow stammering voice, and hearing loss. I went from one hospital to the other. I spent huge sums of money even on medical tests and scans I knew were absolutely unnecessary. I was desperate and my academic performance has plunged.
One of my medical tests said that my mental power has fallen.
It was the second semester and I had wanted to write the exam so I could fix myself during the long break but then I couldn’t hold on. I wrote a deferral letter stating: “I feel depressed.” I was asked to see the clinical psychologist who confirmed that I was truly depressed. My study was deferred and I was put on fluoxetine.
All this time, I didn’t know masturbation was the cause of my health problems although I hated myself for masturbating. Pornography and masturbation was just a part of my life/lifestyle.
I watched porn, I masturbated, I watched porn, I masturbated …
When I got to 23, people/neighbors are already branding me ‘crazy.’ It seems I exhibited signs of mental imbalance but I didn’t see that. My life has become a misery and I kept fighting everyone who called me ‘mad.’
I faced scrutiny and rejection at the bank, internet cafe, restaurants, etc. People could actually tell I was ‘sick’ even in phone conversations. I couldn’t go back to school because of financial issues … and my mental health and the stigma especially. I broke up with the girl I loved because I felt I didn’t have enough strength … to satisfy a woman sexually. I then set up a blog to help others stop masturbating which was also a part of my effort to quit masturbation but I didn’t succeed. I couldn’t quit masturbation myself. The blog went down after 2 years because I could no longer afford web hosting, other fees.
Before my recent birthday in February 2019, I made a serious vow to never continue this act after my new age.
This was when I discovered that masturbation was the enemy: After going a month without masturbating, I felt very normal. People were amazed. I could now walk distances without feeling tired. My voice, hearing, other conditions came to their right, normal states.
In the middle of March, I decided to experiment one more time before I draw my final conclusion on masturbation. I masturbated, and it was bad. I gave myself another month to recover. ON 27th and 28th APRIL, I MASTURBATED AGAIN AND IT WAS EXTREMELY BAD. On the 28th, the reaction was quick: Right after masturbating, I felt abnormal movements in my body. In fact, all the negative effects of masturbation landed real quick.
Today, I have very few friends. I’ve been able to quit masturbation and although I get better each day, I still don’t look very presentable. Life without College degree is extremely unbearable. I can barely make ends meet and I spend most of my days alone in my room. This is what pornography and masturbation addiction can do to your life.
Masturbation is ruining lives. I once read one Muhammed’s blog; how masturbation ruined his career among other things – and the number of victims that commented. I’ve omitted some of the factors that helped me quit masturbation, taking into consideration the length of this article.
In my next article, I’ll share 5 of my friends’ experiences with masturbation and how they were able to quit. Some of them exhibited signs of mental imbalance too. But until then, I need something from you.
So How does Masturbation Affect One’s Health?
I know most people doubt masturbation has any bad effects on our health. But I don’t see why too many people should be looking for solutions or ways to quit masterbation if they’re not afflicted. Sexual desire is a normal body function, yes, but masturbation is a wrong way of satisfying this desire — at least from my experience.
Every guy should take note these:
1. Each time you ejaculate (masturbate), you’re losing yourself. As a human, your semen is ANOTHER YOU. Your ejaculate contains every bit of yourself and it’s meant to create another You. Sperms and semen together contain the right amount of your DNA, over 200 separate proteins, vitamins, minerals, chloride, lactic acid, fructose, etc. Imagine losing all of these each time you masturbate. Although after ejaculation, your system starts producing new seminal fluid from the food you eat. But it takes more of the nutrients from your main body and bones since the food you ingest is just not enough at the time of spermatogenesis. This is how you become physically weak and underweight due to excessive masturbation.
2. RAW SEX IS GOOD! Sex is not only meant for reproduction but also for pleasure. You see, Nature has wired us in such a way that it can get us to do whatever it wants; to make the world live on forever. I’ve realized that our bodies can tell whether we’re having sex with a real human or not. During sexual intercourse, males and females exchange fluids. These fluids are good for each other and this is how your body knows you’re having sex with a real woman and not self-abuse. That is Nature’s accepted standard of SEXUAL PLEASURE. Masturbation leads to depression. You may read why Unprotected sex is better for mental health on Telegraph.
Should Masturbation Be Condemned?
I don’t think that’ll be necessary. As long as pornography is all around us, making campaigns to stop masturbation is absolutely unnecessary.
In fact, if we should consider masturbation a pathogen, it’s significant carrier will be pornography. But that does not mean without pornography people wouldn’t masturbate.
I believe health experts endorse masturbation because it is the simplest birth-control solution. Masturbation actually wouldn’t cause problems if it is done occasionally. It’s pornography that leads to masturbation addiction. Because it’s difficult to quit porn and also to quit masturbation, some people recommend doing it occasionally. But this is something you can easily get addicted to, which can ruin your life and shouldn’t be entertained at all.
If anyone claims they have a drug or medicine that’ll help you quit masturbation, that individual is a duper. There is no such medicine.
Many of you have asked me what will happen to their body when they stopped masturbating. Well, see the ‘positive’ and negative effects of masturbation.
